With the Admittedly Score™, students better understand how they stand as applicants and whether their ideal schools fall into reach, target, or safer categories. We also provide personalized recommendations on how to improve student resumes based on their interests, location, goals, and budget.

Admittedly, Inc. and its corporate affiliates ("Admittedly", "us" or "we") have adopted this Privacy Policy ("Policy"), which applies to all users of our website Admittedly , and any of its sub-domains (the "Site"), and the account, services, websites, mobile applications, products and networks found at or related to the Site (the "Service"). This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our "Terms of Use", available at Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, terms used in this Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use. We may modify this Policy, at any time and for any reason, by posting the revised Policy on our Site with the updated effective date. Accordingly, you should periodically revisit this page to view our then current Privacy Policy.

Admittedly is committed to protecting your privacy while promoting responsible data sharing. This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information and data on our Site and through our Service. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Site or the Services. You understand that by using the Site or Service you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We collect certain information about you that may include, but is not limited to, your name, gender, profile photo, resume, grade level, high school, location/hometown, website and email address ("Personal Information," "Personally Identifiable Information," or "PII"). When you create a User Account by logging into the Service via a third-party social networking site ("SNS", such as Facebook), you use the Personal Information you have already provided to the SNS to create your User Account on our Service. By using Facebook Connect, for example, you are granting us permission to access the Personal Information available to us in your Facebook account and integrate it into our Service, pursuant to the Facebook Terms of Use regarding your use of our Service via Facebook. The Personal Information we collect and embed in our Service, therefore, may depend on the privacy settings you have with the SNS. Accordingly, you should check the privacy settings on your SNS account and review the SNS’s privacy and data policies, in addition to this Policy.

When you use our Site, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform, which may include location information; computer or device configuration; IP address and URL of referring website, if any; pages viewed; number of visitors; and length of visits. We treat this data as "non-personal information," except where we are required to treat it as Personally Identifiable Information under applicable law. Certain non-personal information could be considered part of your PII if it were combined with other identifiers (for example, combining your zip code with your street address) in a way that enables you to be personally identified or contacted. We use non-personal information to evaluate and improve our Site and Services.

In order to create a User Account, access or use certain features of our Services, and complete transactions, you will have to provide certain Personally Identifiable Information. If you decide not to provide such information, you may not be able to become a Registered User or use or access certain parts of our Site or receive certain of our Services. For example, if you choose to provide the personal information required to create a User Account, but do not agree to post or upload your resume, we will not be able to analyze your information or make recommendations to you as to how to improve your resume or which colleges may be of most interest to you. When using our Service, you may post, upload, transmit or create content, information and data not prohibited by our Terms of Use ("User Content"). We may collect such User Content and use it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Like many web-based services, we collect information when you browse our Site or use our Service through technological tools such as "cookies." A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer's hard drive when you visit a website. The cookie gives you a unique, random ID that enables our Site to recognize you on subsequent visits and remember your viewing preferences. Users are free to set their web browsers to prevent the acceptance of cookies, however, if you disable cookies, you may not be able to use or access certain Services on our Site.

We may use personally identifiable information you provide us to:

You may change or delete your PII by emailing us at and including in the subject line "modify PII" or online through your User Account profile. We may, however, retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We may also combine your Personally Identifiable and non-personal information and aggregate it with information collected from other users to analyze and understand how our Service is used and to improve our products, offerings, and services. We may also provide aggregated information to our third party partners so that they may understand how people use their services and how our users, collectively, use our Site.

As part of our Service, we also run scholarship contests ("Sweepstakes"). Entrants may be asked if they wish to submit personal statements or resumes, a form of User Content. If you choose to submit this type of User Content when entering a Sweepstakes, you agree that we may post it on our Site and it will be accessible to other users of our Service. Therefore, you should remove any information you do not want to be made available on our Site, including, without limitation, PII, before submitting.

Admittedly may send occasional system messages to you including emails covering network or legal functions like resetting passwords, account creation and deletion confirmations, changes to our legal policies, or major functional updates or changes. We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from Admittedly if your computer supports this type of program. Admittedly uses this confirmation to help us monitor receipt and improve our Service. Please note that if you do not want to review legal notices from us, such as notices regarding this Privacy Policy, you may change your account preferences by contacting us at However, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Site and Services, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

Admittedly may also send you by email newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you, but only if you’ve requested to receive such communications. If you decide that you no longer wish to receiver any such communications from us, you may unsubscribe by using the "unsubscribe" feature included at the bottom of each such email communication.

Our Site may include social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and widgets, such as a "share" button. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our Site, and may place cookies to enable the feature to function properly. These social media features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

We engage certain third parties to perform functions and provide services to us. We may share your PII with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only to the extent such parties agree to abide by our Privacy Policy with respect to your PII.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. Admittedly has no control over the information collected from or about you by any third-party sites after you have left our Site. We are not responsible, and assumes no liabilities, for the privacy policies and/or practices on such other websites. When linking to another site you should read the privacy policy governing that website. Our Privacy Policy only governs information collected on our Site.

We care about the security of your information. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of information collected and maintained through the Service. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us or guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by unauthorized persons. We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of stored personally identifiable (as defined in applicable state statutes on security breach notification) to you via email or posting on the Site, without unreasonable delay, consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

Our Services are hosted on computer servers located in the United States, where the privacy laws may differ than those in your jurisdiction. Therefore, your information may be transferred to, processed on, and stored in computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction. Your use of this Site or the Service or your submission of any PII to us will constitute your consent to the transfer.

We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We can disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process including, but not limited to, subpoenas, to protect the property and rights of Admittedly or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity. United States federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through laws applicable in the United States.
